Purpose: Thanksgiving is a time of fellowship, community, and love, or charity. The St. Lawrence parish community comes together to provide a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to those who might otherwise be alone or go without on Thanksgiving Day.
Activities: After the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Thanksgiving Day, a full meal is served in Higgins Hall for guests to dine-in with music, conversation and games for the kids. A take-out option is also available upon request. The event runs from 11:15 am-1:00 pm.
Volunteer Time Commitment: On Thanksgiving Day volunteers are needed in various capacities between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm. Duties range from finalizing set up of dining areas, minor food and beverage prep, greeting guests, check-in, serving food, and clean-up. Any amount of available time is appreciated.
Volunteer Requirements: It is recommended that all volunteers be 8+ years of age. There are so many available roles for volunteers that we strongly encourage anyone interested to consider offering a portion of time to the event. Contact Person: Seth Witkowicz, switkowicz@stlawrence.org
