Purpose: To alleviate the immediate suffering of parishioners affected by emergencies, providing essential resources and support to rebuild their lives.
Activities: Subject to available funding and completion of a qualification process, assistance might be able to be provided to parishioners for such needs as rent/mortgage, structural damage, utilities, or transportation during a time of extreme hardship. Referral to other agencies or resources may be provided.
Eligibility To Be Served: Be connected to St. Lawrence Catholic Church as a registered member, regular Mass attendee, active participant in a parish ministry, student or parent of student at the parish school, staff member at school or parish office, relative of one of the above, referral by pastor, parochial vicar or Outreach Ministry Council members.
Volunteer Time Commitment: One or two hours per week, as available
Volunteer Requirements: A servant’s heart, hands, and feet of Christ! Training will be provided.
