As parishioners of St. Lawrence and as Catholic disciples of Jesus Christ and His Church, we respond to our Lord’s invitation to be faithful to prayer, celebrate the Sacraments, deepen our faith through lifelong formation, serve those in need, and invite others to the fullness of the Catholic faith.
Audrey was born in Tampa and has worked at St. Lawrence since 1983. She came from a family of 10 and has two children: Mallory and Trevor. Both of which attended Notre Dame. Audrey is the Director of Sacramental Service. She assists with all liturgies and in baptisms, marriages, funerals, and other sacraments.
Zenaida was born in Cuba and moved to Tampa in 1959. She has worked at St. Lawrence since 2007. She was born into a family of five and has four children. Ms. Cartaya works in clerical and administrative areas for the parish.
Shannon grew up in Londonderry, NH before attending the University of Notre Dame, from which she graduated in May 2012. She opted to continue her studies at Notre Dame, and is now pursuing a Masters of Arts in Theology degree while concurrently working at St. Lawrence as part of the Echo Faith Formation Program at ND. She assists with Faith Formation, Youth Ministry, and Sacrament Preparation.
Lazaro was born in Cuba and moved to Miami in 1965, then to Tampa in 1967. He was born into a family of four and has a daughter and a grandson. Lazaro has worked at St. Lawrence since 1982, initially as the Head Sacristan and now as the receptionist for the parish office.
Kim was born in Indiana and moved to Tampa in 1955. She has worked at St. Lawrence as a cook and housekeeper since 2009. Kim came from a family of twelve and has two daughters and three grandchildren.
Assistant Coordinator of Faith Formation & Youth Ministry
Sarah is a native of Brandon, Florida and grew up in a faith-filled family, the daughter of Bryon & Leesa and sister to Andrew, four years her junior. Sarah joined the Parish staff in July of 2011, having previously served as Coordinator of Youth Ministry for both middle and high school at St. Jude the Apostle and St. John Vianney Catholic Churches in the St. Petersburg area. Please feel free to introduce yourself to her after Mass or stop by the office and say hello.
Danah is a native of Tampa, Florida. She graduated from St. Lawrence Catholic School in 1988 and has received all of her sacraments at St. Lawrence. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA in Theatre Design and has worked as a free-lance designer and artist for over 10 years before coming back to St. Lawrence to work as Events Manager of Higgins Hall in 2011.
Michael was born in Twin Cities, Minnesota and moved to Tampa in the early 1960. He was born in a family of seven and has five brothers. Michael has worked at St. Lawrence since 1991 in facilities maintenance.
Glenda was born in Georgia and moved to Tampa in the late 1980s. Glenda is married with five children and six grandchildren. She has worked at St. Lawrence since 2001 and as Administrator of Temporalities, she manages all the employees and matters of the assets of the parish.
Al was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1984 where he attended the Universtity of Tampa. He is married with two sons and one grandchild. Al has worked at St. Lawrence since 1993 and presently serves as Facilities Manager for all buildings and assets of the parish.
Along with 18 other men, Deacon Cris was ordained to the Order of Deacons on October 3, 2009 for the Diocese of St. Petersburg, and was immediately assigned to St. Lawrence by Bishop Lynch.
Stephen moved to Tampa from New York, via Arizona, in 1986. He and his wife Susan have three sons and five daughters. Stephen has both a Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Music Composition and Conducting from New York and Indiana Universities and has been the music director at St. Lawrence since 2002. His goal is to recruit musical talent from within St. Lawrence to enhance our public worship of God.
Betty was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi and moved to Tampa in 1989. She has worked at St. Lawrence since 1991. She has two earned degrees and one audited degree, and taught for several years in Colorado, George and Florida. Betty has four children and six grandchildren. She is in charge of the weekly Mass bulletin and other administrative areas.
Pat was born in New York City and moved to Florida to attend college, finally settling in Tampa in 1987. She is blessed with one daughter Meghan. Pat is responsible for data entry of parishioner information in the parish office.
