Vocations Committee
Description: The Vocation Committee is dedicated to fostering and sustaining vocation consciousness among all members of the parish community by proclaiming the message of Christ. There is a particular emphasis on supporting and nurturing those who desire, seek and commit to ordained ministry and religious life. The work of the Parish Vocation Enrichment Team is to be accomplished through prayer, worship, education, service and fellowship with the entire parish community.
Time Commitment: Volunteers are used on an as-needed basis.
Ministry Activities: St. Lawrence participates in various activities to promote vocations including:
- Encouragement for participation in the Traveling Chalice program
- Maintenance of educational information regarding vocation opportunities
- Promotion of Diocesan vocation events
- Observance of Wednesdays as the Diocesan Day of Prayer of Vocations
- Promotion of Vocation Awareness Week and World Day of Prayer for Vocations
